We ask parents to ensure that their child/children arrive punctually in school every day. It is of the utmost importance that children arrive on time by 8.50a.m. It is bad practice for a child to arrive late, as it can affect the smooth running of the child’s class. If a child is constantly late in class, it will be detrimental to his/her education
The school can take no responsibility for children who arrive before 8.40a.m. This is important to remember especially on wet days or during the cold winter months.

ABSENCES AND TAKING HOLIDAYS DURING THE SCHOOL TERM
We ask parents to ensure that their children attend school regularly. If a child is frequently absent, firstly we will consult with the parents in order to resolve the matter and then involve the Education Welfare Officer, if needed.
Parents are asked to phone or write a note if their child is absent, or if he/she has to leave school early.
For the children’s benefit we ask that wherever possible, holidays are not taken in school time.
PLAY TIMES
During breaks the children are constantly supervised by the staff. During wet weather the children are supervised in their own classroom, and are provided with a range of suitable activities.
During the dinner hour, five mid-day supervisors – who are answerable to the head teacher, supervise the pupils. The children’s behaviour and attitude towards the mid-day supervisors should be the same as towards the teachers – they are to be respected.
