School Meals

School meals are prepared in the school kitchen daily.

Payment for meals should be made at the beginning of each week and the money enclosed in an envelope or purse bearing the child’s name.

The price of a meal is £2.40 a day or £12.00 per week. Cheques should be made payable to Carmarthenshire County Council.

SANDWICHES

Children may bring sandwiches or a packed lunch, which they may eat at the same time as school dinners are served in the dining hall.

PROVISION OF FREE BREAKFAST

The school provides a free breakfast for any child who wishes to participate.

This scheme by the Welsh Assembly Government is intended to improve the health and concentration of children in the classroom.

Breakfast is served daily between 8.10a.m. and 8.40a.m. in the school dining hall.

FREE SCHOOL MEALS

Some families are entitled to free school meals for their child/children. Details may be obtained from the Education Office, Carmarthen (01267 234567) or from Mrs. Jo Evans – Meals Clerical Assistant in school.

PROVISION OF FREE SCHOOL MILK

The authority operates a scheme of providing milk free of charge to all pupils in the Foundation Phase.
